Shantih Shantih is a four-piece band founded in Atlanta, GA. Their sound combines rock ‘n roll with dreaming harmonies over twanging guitars. Their first 7' was released via Italian label "shit music for shit people", their second single was released in October 2015 for Adult Swim’s annual compilation.

A sonic force in surf rock, Shantih Shantih, brings in reverb-washed guitar riffs to create a sweepingly hypnotic international sound that still feels like home. Two members are from Georgia, another from Alabama, but lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist Anna Barattin only moved to the U.S. five years ago after ending her time with the Italian indie band Vermillion Sands.

“American music and the South have always fascinated me in general,” she said. “I love Southern literature. It is a big inspiration for me and so is the place where I grew up, the countryside near Venice, Italy. Shantih Shantih is a combination of our passions and our backgrounds.”
